Before becoming a certified coder in 1998, Diana Drain, the President of Claim-It, Inc., spent a number of years working with physician practices assisting them in assessment of their business practices focusing on increased profitability through accurate coding and maximizing collections.

With over 11 years experience in the area of financial accounting with a large service center, Diana brings to Claim-It a solid understanding of what it takes to build and maintain a successful growing practice. She has hands-on experience with billing systems, ICD-9 and CPT coding, collections, insurance pre-certification, scheduling, software selection and training, CMS requirements and provides staff training and office management consulting on select projects. Over the past 10 years she has been successful in developing and implementing standards of best practices for each of her clients streamlining their operations and implementing procedures that have a direct impact on their bottom line.

She is an active member of GCMGMA, (Gulf Coast Medical Group Management Association), AHIMA, (American Health Information Management Association), and AAPC, (American Academy of Professional Coders), and works hand-in-hand with the HCMS, (Harris County Medical Society), on behalf of our clients to assure that any and all immediate issues are resolved. To insure that Claim-It will continue to meet its high standards of best practices, Ms. Drain participates in all key seminars presented by Medicare, Medicaid and the TMA, (Texas Medical Association).
